Poetry is in the news!
What has surprised me most since I started this project a few months ago is how many people profess to love poetry.
Editor’s Note:
Greetings good poetry folk! As we wind down to the final days of July, poetry is in the air everywhere if you look for it. But even better than looking for poetry, create some and give it out to one and all. Become a Johnny Appleseed of poetry. The world will be better for it. My World Needs More Poetry project has been lots of fun, bringing smiles and confessions of loving poetry from everywhere folk. I had out poems, to clerks, doctors and lawyers, salespeople, and just about everywhere from every walk of life. It has been such a pleasure to bring poetry to the world! What has surprised me most since I started this project a few months ago is how many people profess to love poetry. We need to get these folks to readings! BTW, I am listening to Jack Kerouac as I write this week’s Poetix.
We wrap up this issue of Poetix with a video of Jack Kerouac reading from On the Road!
Don’t forget to send us your poetry news! An email will do the trick, poetixnews@gmail.com!
Much Love,
Larry
